Why would you need a professional fitness coach?

You’re probably visiting this page because you’re looking for help with your health, fitness and motivation in the glorious Lancashire town of Preston (and surrounding areas). We’re here to help you with that.


It’s one simple word, but it means so, so much. And it’s what we’re here for, as well as guidance and direction too.

But, it’s motivation that is the biggest factor on people’s mind when they look for professional help into why their wobbly bits have gotten bigger (!), why they feel tired all of the time, and why they have back and neck pain that just doesn’t seem to go away.

We’re Not Like a Gym

There are gyms and health centres all around, most offering a range of different opening time. They’ll have treadmills, rowing machines and other cardio equipment all lined up next to each other so you’ll be working out next to those people running (or rowing, or whatever) for 30 minutes straight, going rest in the face and westing everywhere.

Does that seem appealing? Not really.

Most of these places will say they have fitness instructors on hand or other individuals to help you with a workout programme or induction, but do they really help?

What are you supposed to do once you’ve finished that initial workout? And, why don’t they have instructions on how to do things or a book with a load of workout regimes in?


Commercial gyms are interested in the numbers, not the individual people. We’ll remember that you like to be called Cath (not Catherine) and that your dog stuffy sneezes and farts at the same time (and that always makes us giggle), because we see you every week.

There’s no playing on our phones or pushing you beyond your limits – we WILL push you further than you think you can, but that’s what you want – and we’re not some military bootcamp or crossfit centre where everyone is lined up or doing relay exercises in a huge (most times cold) warehouse.

Trying to lose weight?

It’s hard and tone up is hard.. There are so many diets out there to choose from and then there’s the different ‘health’ reports on the TV and in the paper. Who has time to fully understand what it is that we should really eat? Is it vegetables? Fruits? Non-white fish, not diary. And, really, what the heck is Paleo? If you’ve been asking one or more of those questions then we have the answers.

Knoweldge is power.

Understanding what makes you end up there on the sofa eating those sweets, chocolates or crisps that you said you’d not do again and actually lose weight once and for all is important. There are certain foods that make it sooo hard to day no, and other foods in your diet that encourage you to stick to the plan (but not with the latest craze eat a stick of celerry a day mentality).

And, we’re a little different to weight watchers or slimming world.

What’s the cost/price?

Well, if you’re looking for a cheap personal trainer in Chorley, Leyland or Preston then that’s not going to be us. We’re not going to cost the earth, but we value our knowledge and expertise to help you move to the place you want to be with your health, fitness and well-being.

We’re not ones to cut corners either; our initial assessments can take anywhere from one to three hours depending on any previous injuries, issues or medical conditions.
